Epson EcoTank L8050 Ink Tank Photo and Wi-Fi Printer
The Epson EcoTank L8050 is a photo-focused ink tank printer designed for low-cost, high-volume photo printing. Using the included ink bottles, it can produce up to 1,900 high-quality 10 × 15 cm photos. With fast print speeds and advanced ink tank technology, it offers an efficient and economical solution for photo enthusiasts and small businesses.
The printer delivers print speeds of up to 12 photos per minute and features an easy-to-use front-facing ink tank system with advanced ink bottles for clean and hassle-free refilling. Wireless connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, and support for the Epson Smart Panel app, enabling convenient mobile printing.
It uses Epson Micro Piezo™ print head technology with a nozzle configuration of 180 nozzles for black and 180 nozzles per color. The minimum droplet size is 1.5 pl with Variable Sized Droplet Technology. The printer utilizes dye-based ink technology and offers a maximum print resolution of 5,760 × 1,440 dpi. It is a photo printer with print-only functionality and supports six ink colors.
According to ISO/IEC 24734 standards, the print speed is up to 8 pages per minute for both black and color printing. Maximum print speeds reach 22 pages per minute for black and color printing on plain paper, and it can print a 10 × 15 cm photo in approximately 12 seconds when using Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper.
The supported ink colors are Black, Cyan, Light Cyan, Yellow, Magenta, and Light Magenta, all dye-based. Each ink bottle has a capacity of 70 ml.
Supported media sizes include A4, A5, A6, B5, C6 envelopes, DL envelopes, No. 10 envelopes, Letter size paper, and plastic cards. Manual duplex printing is supported. The paper tray has a capacity of 100 sheets standard and maximum, and up to 20 photo sheets can be loaded. The printer supports borderless printing and CD/DVD printing.
Power consumption is 0.6 W in sleep mode, 19 W during printing, 4.4 W when ready, and 0.2 W when powered off, with a typical energy consumption of 0.11 kWh per week. It operates on AC 100 V to 240 V power input.
The product dimensions are 523 × 369 × 150 mm and it weighs 8 kg. The noise level is 6.1 B(A) sound power when printing on Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper in Photo RPM mode, with a sound pressure level of 48 dB(A) during operation.
The Epson EcoTank L8050 is compatible with Mac OS X 10.9.5 or later, Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows Vista, and multiple Windows Server versions including 2003 through 2016. Wireless connectivity is provided via IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n and Wi-Fi Direct. Supported WLAN security standards include WEP 64-bit, WEP 128-bit, WPA-PSK (TKIP), WPA2-PSK (AES), and WPA3-SAE (AES).
Mobile and cloud printing services include the Epson iPrint App and Epson Smart Panel App. The printer supports ESC/P-R emulation. It comes with a 12-month service-center warranty or up to 50,000 pages, whichever comes first.
The included ink bottle yield is up to 2,600 pages or 4,100 photos for black ink and up to 5,400 pages or 1,500 photos for color ink.
